  Sodexo's Energy & Resources integrated facility management services portfolio covers three  integrated pillars: Food and Convenience services, serving local, healthy food in places employees can disconnect from work and connect with each other (Restaurants, Retail stores, Coffee shops, Taverns, Grab & Go stores, Vending, Autonomous stores).

Remote sites and industrial assets management, seamless facility management services that drive assets’ improvement and elevate the TCO of our clients (General Maintenance and Technical Services, Transportation, Ground management, Access management, Logistics Services, Command Centre / Helpdesk, Project management services, Energy & Water Management, Waste Management, Carbon reduction management).

• Can Sodexo manage a single service line, or must the contract be fully integrated? 

  Remote sites and offshore and marine services are provided as integrated facility management services delivered by our own employees. Industrial and EPC clients start with one service line, typically food or janitorial services, and expand the scope over time. Fully integrated facility management contracts deliver the strongest cost and HSE benefits because they consolidate accountability, but they are not a prerequisite to working with us.

• Which types of sites does Sodexo serve in the energy and resources sector?

  Sodexo serves the full energy and resources continuum across 31 countries and 1,015 sites: FIFO mining villages, offshore oil and gas platforms, FPSOs, drilling rigs and ships, refineries, LNG terminals, petrochemical plants, onshore and offshore windfarms, mining and energy infrastructure construction projects, and data centers construction. Each of our operations is supported by locally deployed teams operating to a single global safety and quality standard.

• How does Sodexo handle safety and HSE compliance on remote and offshore sites?

  Our global safety framework aligns with the highest industry standards including ISO 45001, OIM and IMCA expectations on offshore, mining and industrial safety regulations. Every team member completes site-specific induction, helideck and emergency response training where applicable, and operates under a zero-harm performance culture. We participate in our clients' HSE governance and share leading and lagging indicators in monthly reviews.

• How does offshore catering with Sodexo work in practice?

  Our offshore catering teams deliver three-meal-a-day service plus hot drinks and night meals for crews on platforms, FPSOs, drill ships and vessels. The offer covers menu engineering for multinational crews, halal and dietary-specific options, helideck and bond store logistics, full living quarters housekeeping and laundry, and refurbishment of accommodation modules. Crew accommodation, dining and hospitality are managed under a single offshore contract aligned with OIM and operator standards.

• How does Sodexo manage remote mining camps and FIFO operations?

  Remote camp management with Sodexo covers the full ecosystem: check-in and rooming, housekeeping and laundry, food service across mess halls, retail and recreation outlets, technical facilities maintenance, energy water and waste management, and on-site amenities such as gyms and entertainment. Service intensity is calibrated to the rotation pattern (FIFO, DIDO, residential), workforce size and remoteness of the location.

• How does the mobilization to a new site work for an energy or mining operator?

  A typical mobilization runs up to 3 months: site audit and scoping, workforce transfer where applicable (in line with local labor law and TUPE-equivalent regulations), training to Sodexo standards, rollout of services, HSE and operational integration. The objective is service continuity with zero harm and disruption for the workforce and a measurable lift on workforce satisfaction within the first quarter of operation.

• How does Sodexo support talent attraction and retention on remote sites?

  Quality-of-life services are increasingly a hiring and retention argument on remote sites, where workers compare their day-to-day experience across operators. Our offer focuses on the levers that workforce surveys identify as decisive: food variety and quality, accommodation comfort, connectivity, recreation, mental wellbeing support and respectful end-of-rotation logistics.
