Sodexo completes the acquisition of Grupo Mediterránea in Spain

Following the signing announced in July, Sodexo has now completed the acquisition of Grupo Mediterránea, after receiving the customary regulatory approvals.

With this transaction, Sodexo significantly strengthens its presence in Spain, expanding its brand portfolio and reinforcing its position across all market segments. The combined organization now brings together more than 21,000 employees, 1,700 sites and serves over 500,000 consumers daily, becoming one of the key players in the Spanish market with strong local reach nationwide.

The integration phase is now underway, with the ambition to leverage the complementary strengths, expertise and shared values of both companies. Together, Sodexo and Grupo Mediterránea aim to deliver greater excellence, innovation and proximity to clients and consumers, while driving sustainable growth.

Upon completion of the acquisition, Caroline Soladie has been appointed CEO of the Sodexo Group in Spain and Portugal and will lead the integration and development of the combined organization.
