Sodexo celebrates its 60th anniversary
Founded on March 9, 1966, in Marseille by Pierre Bellon, Sodexo is celebrating today 60 years of a visionary model that has, over the decades, led it to become one of the global leaders in food and services.

This award highlights Sodexo’s and Tech, Data, Digital and Innovation Teams’ dedication to leveraging the full potential of data and AI to enhance operational excellence and develop innovative solutions to continuously improve the experience of employees, clients, and consumers.
Through this award, the jury recognizes the relevance of Sodexo’s data governance as well as the diversity of its Artificial Intelligence (AI) use cases.
The jury was especially impressed by the long-term data governance strategy through its Data-Centric program, which has established a common data language (Core-Data Model), a unified data storage and integration platform, and a shared governance framework across the Group, treating data as a valuable asset.
The jury also highlighted the variety of AI-driven use cases, structured around three key areas of innovation and progress, and benefiting:
- On-site employees, enhancing operational efficiency by providing tools that help teams better respond to consumer requests.
- Consumers, making their experience easier and faster, thanks to personalized journeys.
- Clients, supporting business growth and CSR ambitions by offering transparent reporting on Sodexo’s operations and services.

This distinction adds to the recent achievements of Sodexo’s Data teams, including two DAMA awards (Data Management Association) received in December 2024, recognizing excellence in data management.
