Sodexo joins top 20 of the Equileap global ranking on gender equality and ranks 1st in the French edition

Equileap, the world's leading provider of data and information on gender equality, published its 6th annual ranking of the top performers in terms of gender equality in large companies.

Ranked 27th in 2022, Sodexo climbed this year to 12th place out of 3,787 companies analyzed worldwide and to 1st place on the French podium, on par with L'Oréal.

The Equileap study focuses on 19 criteria (proportion of women at all levels, gender pay gaps, parental leave policies, etc.) and establishes a "Top 100" of the most virtuous companies and a ranking of countries at the forefront in terms of gender equality.

Already present in this global "Top 100" in 2022, Sodexo jumped 15 rows and joined the 12th rank in this new edition. With a "Gender Equality" score of 73%, Sodexo is also on the top step of the national podium, on par with L'Oréal. France is the best performing country on equality issues ahead of its Spanish and Italian neighbours, reaching the highest percentage of women on company boards.

“The spirit of progress is one of our founding values, and it is a great pride for all of us to see Sodexo rank 12th in the Equileap worldwide survey this year, and joint 1st place in France. This distinction honors us. It testifies to our daily commitment to an inclusive company, and our determination to promote the development and fulfillment of all our employees. It also invites us to pursue our efforts: we are proud of the progress made, but aware of the road ahead of us. We remain fully engaged to continue to promote diversity, equity and inclusion, within our teams and with all our stakeholders.”
Sophie BellonChairwoman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Sodexo

“This new recognition in the Equileap ranking is for us a great pride. The significant progress within the 2023 edition is the result of sustained and constant work by our teams. It reflects our strategic positioning as a responsible and sustainable company, dedicated to developing and promoting the skills of women at all levels of the organization.”
