Sodexo Peru provides athletes with delicious traditional cuisine at the 2019 Pan-American Games in Lima

Sodexo in Peru is the official supplier of the Pan American and Parapan American Games 2019 held in in Lima between July 26 and August 11.

The 6700 competing athletes will be able to choose from two different culinary concepts throughout the event:

  • Concept 1: "Lima Culinary Tour" – diners will be able to enjoy typical Peruvian dishes such as causa limeña, fish ceviche, stuffed potato, tamales, solterito and papa a la huancaína, lomo saltado, pescado a la chorrillana, ají de gallina, chicken escabeche and arroz con pollo, among others.
  • Concept 2: "Inka Bio Market" – based around the concept of a marketplace, diners will find fruits and vegetables which will vary across all services, in addition to the breakfast offer. There will be tangerines, pitahaya, blue berry, aguaymanto, apples, cacao, tumbo, peaches, zucchini, peppers, eggplant, broccoli, cauliflower, red and white onion, radishes, etc.

Throughout the event Sodexo will showcase its Love of Food, demonstrating our capabilities to the highest standards whilst ensuring the dietary requirements of all competing athletes are met. With six food services each day, there will be a total of 700,000 meals served throughout the competition with the busiest days seeing around 24,000 meals served.

The Sodexo teams will be providing menus and calorie information in Braille as well as ensuring menus are equally visible for those viewing from wheelchair level to ensure that each any every athlete competing in the Parapan Am Games will be able to access menu information.
