A day in the life of a TECH INTERNAL CONTROL SPECIALIST
As a Global IT Internal Control Specialist, you'll play a key role in safeguarding our IT environment by ensuring internal controls are effective, risks are managed, and compliance requirements are met across the organization. Working closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and Internal Audit, you'll help identify control gaps, support remediation plans, and strengthen governance practices that enable secure and compliant digital operations worldwide.
Your day-to-day
- Assess IT risks and evaluate the effectiveness of internal control frameworks.
- Perform design and operating effectiveness testing of IT controls and applications.
- Partner with IT Process Owners, Application Owners, and Service Owners to strengthen compliance and governance practices.
- Support internal and external audit activities, including the follow-up of findings and remediation actions.
- Identify control gaps and provide recommendations to mitigate operational, security, and compliance risks.
- Monitor action plans and coordinate regular governance meetings with key stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of IT policies, standards, and risk management processes.
- Deliver training and guidance to stakeholders on IT controls, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Participate in global compliance and quality communities to share knowledge and drive continuous improvement.
Requirement/Qualifications

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A collaborative approach, with a genuine interest in working across IT, Digital, Data, and Audit teams.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-changing technology and regulatory environment.
- The ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Curiosity and a continuous learning mindset to stay ahead of emerging risks, cybersecurity trends, and compliance requirements.
