A day in the life of a ‘SAP S/4HANA DATA LEAD”

As a SAP S/4HANA Data Lead, you will lead all data extraction and preparation activities within our SAP transformation programme. You will coordinate business, IT, and implementation partners to ensure high-quality data is available for every migration cycle. Acting as the data subject matter expert, you will help drive migration success while establishing standards and best practices that support future deployments.

Your day-to-day

  • Lead and coordinate data extraction activities across multiple systems and stakeholders.
  • Define data quality standards, governance processes, and migration readiness criteria.
  • Work closely with business teams, technical experts, and implementation partners to deliver migration milestones.
  • Analyse data structures, identify anomalies, and support issue resolution throughout migration cycles.
  • Ensure data is complete, accurate, and available on time for transformation and loading activities.
  • Monitor risks, dependencies, and project progress while providing clear status reporting.
  • Develop reusable templates, documentation, and best practices for future deployments.
  • Support user acceptance testing and data validation activities to ensure successful outcomes.

Requirement/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data management, migration, governance, or SAP data projects.
  • Hands-on experience leading SAP S/4HANA data migration activities.
  • Strong understanding of SAP data structures and migration methodologies.
  • Experience working with ETL tools, data extraction frameworks, and data quality processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments.
  • Fluency in English is required; French and/or Italian language skills are a plus.
