Finance Specialist

Sodexo Business Services (SBS) is currently looking for a self-driven Finance Specialist, to join its growing team.

A day in the life of a Finance Specialist

You will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the business, ensuring the efficient management of purchasing and accounts payable activities. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, you will help maintain accurate financial records, support compliance processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Your day-to-day

  1. Purchasing Management: Process and manage purchase orders, liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders, and ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
  2. Vendor & Order Coordination: Monitor open purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, and resolve purchasing-related queries to ensure timely delivery and accurate receipting.
  3. Accounts Payable Operations: Review, verify, and process invoices, ensuring compliance with taxation requirements and timely payment of vendor accounts.
  4. Reconciliations & Financial Controls: Perform vendor account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  5. Financial Closing Support: Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities, supporting the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
  6. Process Improvement & Automation: Participate in process standardization and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality across the finance function.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Good accounting and financial knowledge.
  • Intermediate SAP knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Experience in Purchasing, Accounts Payable, or Finance Operations is an advantage.
