Lenôtre, newest symbol of haute cuisine for Sodexo

September 27, 2011

Sodexo’s acquisition of the French company Lenôtre provides the Group with a unique opportunity to develop its portfolio of Prestige activities in France and internationally.

Lenôtre and the professionalism of its teams are well known to Sodexo, particularly in the markets in which both companies are present. With this acquisition, Sodexo also seeks to further develop its expertise in luxury gastronomy in order to enhance its offering to its clients.

Considerable potential synergies exist between and Lenôtre and Sodexo, particularly its prestige, sport and leisure business (Lido, Yachts de Paris, etc.), including in the areas of training, sourcing and business development.

Reinforced by Sodexo’s support, Lenôtre continues to innovate and build on its recognized leadership in luxury gastronomy, broadening its coverage throughout the world.

Through its "Ambition 2012" plan, Lenôtre has already prepared to redeploy its businesses, focusing resources and pooling company-wide services to reinforce its growth model.

A new boutique concept highlighting the elegance epitomized by the brand, designed for maximum local adaptability, will be unveiled in the next few months in Paris and Strasbourg, as well as internationally in Riyadh, Qatar.

Lenôtre also is adding a new line of 250 select, gourmet delicatessen offerings selected by the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France and les experts de la Maison to its menu of "haute couture” products and services.

Newly-defined colors (white and pearl mixed with plum and champagne), which will appear on all Lenôtre signage, graphics and visuals, underline the brand’s prestige and uniqueness.

A Lenôtre Conseil has been created to enhance the offer for training, technical assistance, savoir-faire and licensed products.

"Our Meilleurs Ouvriers de France, chefs, artisans and all of our teams welcome Sodexo with open arms. I am personally delighted by Sodexo’s acquisition of Lenôtre, which promises the best prospects for our shareholders, our employees and, especially, our customers," said Patrick Scicard, Chairman of Lenôtre’s Management Board.

Sodexo CEO Michel Landel said, "We are very pleased to welcome Lenôtre’s employees to Sodexo. Lenôtre’s brand symbolizes the elegance and rigor of French luxury goods, its expertise is widely recognized and it has an excellent reputation in France. This strategic acquisition is in full alignment with our intention to further develop our Prestige offer in luxury gastronomy to better serve our clients.”
