Sodexho UK made a £5,000 donation from the Sodexho Foundation to FareShare in support of their recent Christmas Appeal.
Sodexho UK made a £5,000 donation from the Sodexho Foundation to FareShare in support of their recent Christmas Appeal. This donation marks the first disbursement made by the Foundation since the UK formalized their STOP Hunger program in 2005.
The FareShare Christmas Meal Appeal enabled various organizations to help some of the most vulnerable people by providing ingredients for a full Christmas dinner. The number of disadvantaged people benefiting from the appeal was close to 16,000.
Sodexho UK began a partnership with FareShare in 2005. Formed in 1994, FareShare is a national charity that redistributes surplus quality food to organizations working with homeless and disadvanged people. FareShare distributed food used in more than 3.3 million meals last year.
