Sodexho France announced the creation of SodexhoAltys, a dedicated facilities management unit in order to consolidate its facilities management expertise.
Sodexho France announced the creation of SodexhoAltys, a dedicated facilities management unit in order to consolidate its facilities management expertise, respond more effectively to client needs and speed its growth in the Corporate Services segment. SodexhoAltys provides corporate clients with single-source management of their support service needs, including food and dining, technical maintenance, security, reception, switchboard, cleaning, mailroom and reprographic services.
Sodexho subsidiaries operating in France already generate facilities management revenue of €230 million.
To develop its service portfolio, SodexhoAltys has drawn on Sodexho's strong expertise in :
- Food services, the company's original business in which it is the market leader. Sodexho delivers a full range of food and dining services, including cafeterias, quick-service restaurants, vending machines, executive dining rooms, and room service.
- Technical maintenance, including electrical engineering, heating, ventilation and air conditioning engineering, plumbing, energy and fluids management, technical management, safety and security equipment, project design and planning, and maintenance and repair work, provided through SodexhoAltys.
Created in 1997 and today employing 700 people, Altys has acquired recognized expertise, primarily for clients in the Paris region. In creating the new unit, Sodexho's goal is to develop the Altys business offering across all client segments-businesses, government agencies, healthcare establishments, schools and universities, local communities, senior residences, and leisure and recreation facilities.
Yann Coléou, President Sodexho France and President Altys, is convinced that Sodexho's international experience can be leveraged to develop facilities management in France. “We want to make available to our clients the facilities management experience acquired in the United States and the United Kingdom in France,” he said. “Our unique offer combines Altys' outstanding technical skills and rigorous methods with Sodexho's management capabilities and service culture.”
To direct the new teams, Yann Coléou will draw on experienced Sodexho executives:
- François Laville, (with Sodexho since 1987). Previously head of the private sector sub-segment, he will oversee food services in the Corporate Services segment.
- Philippe Bonnet (with Sodexho since 1980). Formerly in charge of the Defense, correctional facilities and government key account markets, he will be head of facilities management operations, which consolidate the Group's expertise in technical maintenance and service management. Philippe Bonnet will be assisted by Claude Pelé, Altys Chief Executive Officer.
