The level of participation in this year's Servathon reflects a strong response from employees to CEO Michel Landel's call in April to "help create a world that does not experience hunger or malnutrition.”
At a time when hunger and malnutrition afflict over one billion people, Sodexo is committed to pursuing the fight against hunger in countries throughout the world where it operates. The STOP Hunger program, of which the annual Servathon is a part, is now present in 25 countries and includes partnerships with 223 local NGOs and associations active in the battle against hunger. Nearly 300 major initiatives have so far been conducted across four principal areas: volunteering, providing training and information on nutrition, food distribution and fundraising.
