Sodexo recognized as a "Superbrand" in France, the UK and the U.S.

1/5/2009

The Sodexo brand has been chosen for inclusion for the first time in the book "Business to Business Superbrands" appearing in the editions published in France, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Each year, the books profile a selection of the most prestigious brands in each country, such as IBM, GlaxoSmithKline, HSBC, ArcelorMittal, Bouygues and BNP Paribas.

Brands are selected by an independent jury of the world's leading brand experts.

Sodexo's inclusion in the U.S. among the "2009 Business Superbrands" is particularly significant as this year's edition extends for the first time to the general public “B to C” (Business to Consumer) brands.

The French edition, “Grandes Marques en France,” went on sale in bookstores in France on December 9, 2008. The UK edition will be available beginning February 25 on Amazon.com and the U.S. edition will be available at Barnes & Noble in mid-April.

The books also will be available in universities and libraries in the three countries.

Sodexo's Senior Vice President for Brand and Communications, Clodine Pincemin, said: "One year after changing Sodexo's visual identity, this entry into the Business Superbrands books shows that the Sodexo brand is perceived as one of the world's leading brands. The efforts of our teams around the world are continuing to drive us toward our goal of making Sodexo a great global brand that is known, but also loved and chosen.”
