In addition, for the second consecutive year, Sodexho was named “Supersector Worldwide Leader” in its industry classification, Travel and Leisure.
Created in 1999, the two Dow Jones Sustainability indices are based on an evaluation by the SAM Group of the quality of a company's environmental, social and corporate governance commitments, its policies and its performance.
In its report on Sodexho Alliance, the SAM Group said the company had demonstrated “an excellent overall sustainability performance, which strongly relates to the straight-forward business philosophy” and “high transparency.” The report also cited “a solid performance in corporate governance as well as risk management, above all food safety.”
