5 April 2006 - An industry trade group has ranked Sodexho (Euronext Paris FR0000121220 - SW / NYSE:SDX), number two in the world among leading global outsourcing service providers. The “Global Outsourcing 100,” as determined by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP), appears in North American editions of the April 3 issue of Fortune magazine. The IAOP said the list is the first industry-wide benchmark for overall outsourcing excellence.
Sodexho, the leading global provider of food and management services, was the top ranked company in the IAOP industry categories “Facility Services” and “Real Estate and Capital Asset Management” with only IBM receiving a higher overall ranking. The IAOP said Sodexho was “hot on (IBM's) heels” and received “high marks across the board.”
Companies were ranked based on 18 criteria including revenue growth, number of employees, workforce skills and training, technical and business certifications (such as ISO 9001), the track record of the management team and the quality of customer services.
The ranking as it appeared as a special advertising feature in the April 3 issue of Fortune Magazine is attached.
